Development Methodology

JARRP, Inc. can manage every aspect of your web site design and development project. Utilizing our development methodology, we will plan your site from initial conception to a fully featured realization of your website vision. JARRP, Inc. will deliver a cost effective, extremely valuable site which will delight you and your customers. Take a look at our Web Design Portfolio.

We will apply our methodology in the development of each of our client's projects according to each client's needs. Your Project-Your Way!

Project Planning

Website Planner
Using our Website Planner Workbook, we will guide you through the planning of your website. It will help you to think about what you want to accomplish with your new website, and help you determine the special functionality or interactivity you want to provide to your visitors.

Website Design Proposal
Upon completion of the Website Planner Workbook, we will review the information you provided, and we will provide you with a Web Design Proposal. This is why it is important to provide as much detail and information in the workbook.

We may have questions for you to help clarify certain issues and we will express those before returning the proposal.

Website Contract Agreement
Once we come to agreement on the proposal, timeline and price, we will prepare a Website Contract Agreement for you to review, sign and return with your initial deposit. The initial deposit is typically 50% of the total contract value, and is required along with the signed contract before development of your website can be started. The remainder of your balance will be due upon project completion.

Once we have received your 50% deposit and signed contract, we will provide you with a copy of the fully executed contract, a receipt for your deposit and your project start date. All projects are scheduled on a "first come, first served" basis.

Design and Development

Custom Designed Website
We will begin the custom design of your home page, layout and navigation design, at which time you will review the design and offer any feedback. The feedback from the customer is assessed and modifications will be made and approved by the Client. Once approved, we will proceed with the rest of the development project.

Development Progress
Throughout the development process, you will have the ability to review the progress of your website. We will establish a private directory for your new website on our testing server so that you may view the website development progress at any time. In addition, we will notify you at certain intervals with progress updates and items for you to review and approve.

Design & Functionality Changes
Any changes in functionality and features are discouraged during this phase. We suggest to keep these changes for later releases/versions of your site. But, if the change request is necessary for this project, a change order is issued. The change order will be entered into the design and the cost added to the original estimate.

Quality Assurance

During the Quality Assurance phase, the site is tested and prepared for publishing. Testing will be performed by the client, and all issues will be reported and resolved by JARRP, Inc. Any training of the client's personnel will be addressed before the site goes live.

Search Engine Readiness
Meta Tags, Page Titles, Page Heading, Alt Image Tags, Link Text, and Page Body Text evaluation and adjustment where needed throughout the website. At no time can we guarantee when or where the search engines will place your website within their search results or directory.

Browser Compatibility Testing
Your website should be tested on a variety of operating systems and browsers to insure proper display and functionality.

Grammar & Spell Check
Grammar and spell check should be performed to insure there are no mistakes.

Dead Link Check
A thorough check for misdirected links and missing pages/files should be performed to verify all links are functioning properly.

Forms & Programming
Any email contact forms and/or programming features included in your project should be tested to confirm they are functioning as required.

Project Launch

Final Payment
Once the final payment for the project is received, the website will be uploaded to your server and accessibility (DNS) items are handled.

Launch Website
All website files and scripts are copied to your server and databases are configured.

Error Testing
Once the website has been completely setup on your server, the website should be run through a cycle of tests to check any interactive programming, scripts, and the general functionality of the website for proper function. Since the design and testing phase often occurs on a different server, it is very important to verify that everything is working correctly after moving it to the production server.

Website Files
Once the website has been verified successfully, we will send you a CD with with a zipped archive of all website files and databases.

Search Engine Submission
We will submit your website to the search engines once the website is in production and working successfully.
